Can people truly change?

Two things keep Holly Campbell grounded: her precocious son and preserving her forty-year-old family diner in the face of expansion and change. She doesn't need a blast from the past like Luke Saxon, who's back in Butterfly Harbor after more than a decade away. The hard-luck kid who nearly destroyed her family, leaving her to pick up the pieces, is taking over as sheriff. She can't trust him, even if Luke's ideas for the town's upcoming anniversary seem to show he's trying to give back to their community. Has Butterfly Harbor found its unlikely savior? And has the widowed single mother finally found a man she can believe in, rely on...and love?

My Thoughts

The Bad Boy of Butterfly Harbor is a really unique story. I love Butterfly too so the title really catch my attention quickly.

Luke Saxon was the bad boy of the city. When he became the next sheriff, Holly and her son were absolutely livid. Holly still held a grudge for a long time for the accident in the past. Not to mention, she was reeling because Luke turned out to be a better man. It was much easier to hate him if he was still bad.

Luke was a strong guy having a rough past. I couldn't imagine the pain he endured. He had a very admirable quality. His protective nature of Holly's son made him more adorable.

Holly was a woman with grudge of the past. She didn't understand why her father forgave Luke immediately. After some times knowing each other they finally realize how true her father was.

Love this book!

About the Author

Anna J Stewart is the USA Today & national bestselling author of mainstream contemporary romance for Berkley (The Tremayne Family Trilogy), sweet romance novels for Harlequin Heartwarming (The Butterfly Harbor series), and the upcoming romantic suspense BONDED trilogy for Harlequin Romantic Suspense. She's also self-published the Lantano Valley Novella series (loosely connected to her Tremayne Family romances) that feature five book club friends making their way through romance and life. RT Book reviews says Anna writes "refreshingly unique, quietly humorous and profoundly moving romance" and NYTimes Bestselling author Brenda Novak says "The Talented Anna J Stewart delivers every time!"

A former RWA Golden Heart finalist, Anna was the girl who spun circles on the playground hoping her Wonder Woman costume would appear before playing cops and robbers a la Charlie's Angels. She was the girl in the back of the classroom with a paperback romance hidden in her algebra book (she failed math), or hunched over her desk writing mini-romances featuring her friends and their Hollywood crushes.

She can't remember not having a book in her hand or a story in her head. An early fan of Stephen King and Dean Koontz, it was discovering the romance section of her local used bookstore and the novels of Nora Roberts that made her realize writing romance was what she was meant to do. Now that dream is a reality. Anna's heroines don't need a man but when they find the one they want, the adventure and fun begins.
