Have a Hart Romance #3

Heartbreaker Connor Hart, one of the youngest fire chiefs in the country, is planning on marrying Dr. Elaine Woo, a woman who pretended to cheat on him with his best friend many years ago. She bought him a Dalmatian puppy, he gave her a ring—and the women of San Francisco are about to lose their most eligible bachelor.

Artist and poet Nadine Woo is down on her luck. The cast-off half-sister of Dr. Elaine Woo, she doesn’t measure up, according to her strict and distant father. When Nadine and her mother are about to be evicted from their apartment, she gets an interesting offer from her sister. Seems she’s in need of a little help concerning her relationship with Fire Chief Connor Hart.

As soon as Nadine meets Connor, she knows she’s in for a rough ride. Connor is the fireman who rescued her and her little gray kitten, and she’s never forgotten how safe she felt in his arms.

When Nadine takes her sister’s place at a spring fling weekend with Connor, love ignites, and there’s no going back.

Can a spunky little kitty show Connor and Nadine that doing the wrong thing is sometimes right, especially when it comes to love?

My Thoughts

This is probably the best book from Rachelle.

Spring Fling Kitty is a long-awaited story that I want to read and live in. After reading the previous book in the series, Valentine Hound Dog I know I have to know Connor's story and his happy ending. I've thought of his character and I've to say that he's very close to perfection. When I started this story I do not expect the depth of this story. It has a very deep meaning and left a profound impression in my heart. When I was waiting for this book, I never expected a girl like Nadine for Connor but I'm glad that she's the one with him through sickness and health, poor and rich until death do them apart.

Connor Hart is one of the youngest fire chief in the country and he has a very big heart. From all the members in Hart family, he's probably my favorite. This is what attracted me to his character from the very beginning. He's not afraid to take risk. People see him as the rescuer, the fixer, the protector. But he actually needs someone that will look out for him. He's very loyal and loving. I felt that he was being stupid for taking Elaine back at that time when she went back to him after "pretending" to sleep with his best friend, but I guess I have to thank Elaine too for bringing Connor to his true love and opened his eyes for the things that he should've.

Nadine is the love child of Elaine's father. She has a beautiful soul with a very creative mind, amazing outlook of life and she wears her heart on the sleeve. She see life as the colors, words and feelings. The poems and pictures that she created, gives me a deep insight about life. The love that she shared with Connor is not one to be taken lightly. Some people may find it difficult to believe that their short romance was real, but with their thoughts and interactions I've never feel something so real or right. Nadine is a woman that once she loves someone, she will love that person completely and entirely without any reservation. Her boundless love continues to amaze me. Elaine might be seem as the controlling and mean sister. I don't have much arguments against that but I believe there is a bit of good in her. She's not fully a bad person. People don't really see that part of her. I hope you will.

There are many controversial issues that are discussed here, such as for one, Connor is actually cheating on Elaine even though I still think that Elaine is no good. Even though I appreciate that he is trying not to really get close to Nadine at first but cheating was wrong. I'm glad they worked it out. There are some other issues but it's better that I don't spoil it.

People see artist as wanderers and dreamers, but these people are the ones who give life its meaning. Every strokes and brushes had significant impacts in the whole painting.

One life lesson is don't expect anything from life. You can plan your life as much as you want but you can never fully control its way.

Connor and Nadine is one of a kind couple. You don't see this people often. They have a bond beyond this world and it's more and untouchable. It was like they were made for each other and the universe had tried to bring them together in so many different occasions and its own timing. I'm glad Connor won't be tied down with someone that does not love him completely.

Love saw. Love came. Love conquered.

I truly recommended everyone to read this book.

I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review.
